Jennie (Lauretta) Borak

Jennie (Lauretta) Borak, daughter of Salvatore and Sara Lauretta, was born October 21, 1921.  She was a life time resident of Akron and 1940 graduate of South High School.  She was a member of St. Martha Parish (now Blessed Trinity) where she served as school secretary and then served as parish secretary for 25 years.  During that time she also served as president of the Ladies Guild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank (the love of her life); her infant son, Francis, Jr.; her beloved sisters, Adeline Bechter and Josephine Hafner, and her beloved brother, Biagio (Bill) Lauretta.

Jennie is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Penny Lynn Borak (Akron) and daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Michael Lilley (California); sister, Nancy Lauretta (Akron); sister-in-law, Josephine Lauretta (Florida); brother and sister-in-law, Antonio and Deborah Lauretta (Florida); brother-in-law, J. and Barb Bechter; grandchildren, Brandon Michael Borak (Akron), Lauren Brianne Borak (Canton) and Sara Nicole (Pedro II) Avalos (Akron); great grandchildren, Amara Naide, Pedro III, Azul De Los Angeles and Lourdes Aurora Avalos (Akron) and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Theresa Bechter and the staff of Heritage Villas of North Canton.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Blessed Trinity, 300 E. Tallmadge Avenue, Akron with Rev. Joseph Warner officiating.  Visitation with family will be after the mass at the church.  Cremation has taken place.  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
