Joan V (Permuko) Jurkowski

Tallmadge- Joan (Joann) V. Jurkowski, 83, passed away June 3, 2021. She was born on December 29, 1937 to Joseph and Elizabeth Permuko (Bohovetski) in Tars, PA.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Raymond; brother, Michael; sisters, Margaret, Josie, Agnes and MaryAnn and by one great grandchild.

Joann is survived children, Michael (Judy) of Alexandria, VA, Janet (Eugene) Trusnik of Macedonia, OH, Dennis (Deborah) of Green, Thomas (Denise) of Barberton, Paul (Lisa) of Tallmadge; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She belonged to the Columbian Guild where she held all offices.  She also belonged to Polish American Club, ABC Polka Association, Cleveland Polka Association, and volunteered for several organizations and non-profits in the Akron area. She belonged to Blessed Trinity (formally St. Martha's church) and served at the funeral meal director for many years.

Visitation will be 4 until 8 pm, Monday, June 7, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Blessed Trinity Parish, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave, Akron with Rev. Joseph Warner officiating.

Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
