Joann (Sherhag) Dietz

Joann Dietz, 84, was called home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2015. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Joann was born to the late Nesbert and Audrey Sherhag on December 20, 1930.  She was a resident of Manchester for over 40 years.  Joann was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who loved to paint, read, and knit.  She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and volunteered with several Akron agencies in MRDD roles.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Raymond.

Joann is survived by her sons, Russell Dietz and Dale (Cathy) Dietz; granddaughter, Kelly (Scott) Nelson; sister, Carrie Lou Stone, and a host of other relatives and friends..

Visitation will be 3 until 5 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 915 N. Main St., Akron.

Funeral Services to be held at 5 p.m. following the visitation at the church with Rev. Dr. Carl Wallace officiating.

Interment will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park in North Canton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ.
