John Manuel Charterina

John Manuel Charterina, 42, passed away March 16, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Born in Lakewood, New Jersey, John had lived in the Tallmadge area for 5 years. Before moving to Ohio, John lived in North Carolina, New Jersey, Florida and Nebraska. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. John loved his family more than anything but adored his son James more than life itself. He enjoyed playing soccer but watching it was a great enjoyment for him. He loved to listen to music. John listened all types of music. His favorite pastime was annoying everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Julian and Martina Charterina and his maternal grandfather, John Spangler. He was also preceded by his Uncle Aurelio Charterina and his cousin, Christina Charterina.

John is survived by his son, James Edward Charterina; his fiancé, Shannon McKnight, parents, John and Gayle Charterina; sister, Beth Dendinger; and brothers, Anthony and Timothy Charterina. Also, almost brother, Jefferey Noble, as well as his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Spangler and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass and Christian burial 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Father Michael Matusz officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
