John Jay Stanley
December 12, 1955 — August 13, 2021
John Jay Stanley, 65, passed away August 13, 2021. Born in Bainbridge, Georgia, he lived in Akron most of his life.
John was self employed in the asphalt industry. He enjoyed swimming, boating, racing, playing pool and Elvis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Jane Stanley; brother, Joey Stanley.
John is survived by his wife, Teri; sister, Daisy (Greg) Jeffrey; brother, Willy (Jeanette) Stanley; in-laws, Gregg, Lori, Jeff; many nieces and nephews and the 9th generation Stanley, Christian Matthew Stanley.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm , Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Funeral service will be 11 am, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the funeral home with Greg Jeffrey officiating.
Interment will be in Dayton, OH.
