John S. Marzano, 95, passed away peacefully February 7, 2025. Born and lived in Akron all of his life.

John retired from Sun Oil Company, where he delivered fuel for Sunoco. He then ran a small plumbing business and also worked at Truck Max. He was a member of St. Anthony Parish and the Lions Club. He enjoyed traveling particularly when it involved a casino.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Goldie Marzano; his wife of 65 years, Dorothy, sisters Anna Pearl Trbovich, Virginia Hubbard, Dora Hartman, Gloria Patsy.

John is survived by his daughter, Karen Runion; sons, John (Cindy) Marzano, Dave (Sandy) Marzano; grandchildren, Amanda, Mike, Vince, Stephen; great grandchild, Jaxten; sister, Gerry Gill.

Visitation will be 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2025 at the Hennessy Funeral Home, 552 N Main St. (corner of E York and N Main).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 83 Mosser Pl, Akron with Father Edward Burba officiating. PROCESSION TO FORM AT THE CHURCH.

Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
