John J. Moran

John J. Moran, 89, passed away July 8, 2024.

John was born on December 22, 1934, and a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls high school.

John worked as a maintenance mechanic for General Tire and retired from Chrysler. Upon retirement he worked part-time at the Tallmadge Rec Center where he was a member of the "Rec-a-Peers." A devout, lifelong member of Our Lady of Victory Parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus. John was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, and his favorite moments were spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their sporting events and at home in his pool.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Rita Chaten, Patricia Leffler, and Catherine Vinson; brothers, Tom, Frank, Chuck, and Paul Moran.

John is survived by his wife, Agnes; daughters, Karen (Jim) Evans, Theresa (Brian) Wise of Tallmadge; sons, John (Joan), II of Indiana, Kevin (Jennifer Washington) of Johnstown, OH, Brian (Lauri) of Texas, Joe (Micki) of Green; grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie), Michelle, Sandy (Skylar), Amanda (Jason), James, Aubrey (Eric), Chelsea (Matthew), Connor (Calli), Daniel, Mandy (Chaz), Tifanie (Richard), Kerstie (Dakota), Peri (Donovan), Tony (Kelly), Tyler, Trent, Brock, Dawson, Brianna, and Zane; great grandchildren, Alivia, Hailey, Madison, Adalynn, Paisley, Bryce, McKayla, Peyton, Ellie, Kaye, Shaelynn, Kellan, Reece, Owen, Daniel, Briggs, Andi, Briley, and Aiden; great-great grandchild, Weston; sister, Cecelia Nowakowski of Tallmadge and sister in law, Rita Strabel.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Father Michael Matusz and Father John Hengle concelebrating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
