John Edwin Pogorzelski, 96, passed away January 22, 2021.

He was born in Akron and lived in the area all of his life.  John graduated from North High School and attended Akron University.  He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, serving in France for 17 months.  He was an appliance salesman at Forest City and Daley's Appliance Company.  He also worked for Brookledge Golf Club part time for 10 years.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Pogorzelski; 9 siblings; and 5 nephews.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, Barbara Pogorzelski, Lunora Sadon, Janet Zaucha, Patricia Grutzmacher, Walter Pogorzelski and Anita Tonhaeuser.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am Wednesday February 10, 2021 at St. Eugene Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave. Cuyahoga Falls.  Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior to mass at the church.
