John B Scalia

Our beloved John B. Scalia sadly passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024, at his home in Auburn Township. John was 63 when he died, having been born on March 22, 1961, at Green Cross Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. John graduated from Tallmadge High School in the class of 1979.

John is survived by his wife, Theresa; mother, Daisy; two sons, Joshua (Sharon) and Jonathan (Ericko, in Japan); and two grandchildren, Sophie and Shelby.

He was preceded by his father, John E. Scalia; grandparents, Bernard and Daisy Ilg; and his grandparent, Cos Scalia and Wanita Moon.

John loved travel, touring Europe as a teenager, and later in life to South America and many of the islands of the Caribbean and Pacific as a SCUBA diver. He loved adventure, racing in Formula Ford and Formula Vee in his youth, learning to rock climb in the mountains of Switzerland, and SCUBA diving for the first time as a young teen in Hawaii, starting his lifelong love of the ocean as a 50+ year SCUBA diver. John lived his life believing he could accomplish anything. John, and his love for life, will be greatly missed.

As per John's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
