John T Swinehart

John T. "Jack" Swinehart, 86, passed away October 14, 2015.

Born in Lancaster, Ohio, Jack had lived in Tallmadge since 1968.  He retired in 1993 from RCA Rubber with 45 years of service. Jack was a member of The Summit Wesleyan Church, where he served as a trustee and as the Adult Class Sunday School Teacher for over 20 years.  He was known to be a hard worker and kept all the mechanical things working at the church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Helen.

John is survived by his sons, John (Cindi) Swinehart, Jr. of Munroe Falls and David Swinehart of Australia; grandchildren, Ryan, Scott, Carolyn, Melissa and Brandon.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historical Tallmadge Circle) and one hour before the service at the church.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at The Summit Wesleyan Church, 2303 South Main Street, Akron with Pastor Dan Conkey and Pastor Russ Heiser officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
