John Zuravel

John Zuravel, 94, passed away October 1, 2016. Born in Rivesville, West Virginia, and lived in Akron most of his life.

John served as a Ranger in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a machinist at Parker-Hannifin. He was a life member of the Airport VFW, Sons of Herman and loved gambling at casinos.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes "Aggie"; parents, Stanley and Mary Zuravel.

John is survived by his son, Gary Lee (Marcia) Zuravel of Tallmadge; granddaughter, Michelle (Diane) Quirk; great grandchildren, Miranda, Brandon; sister, Olga Rollins of Akron.

Visitation will be 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle)

Service will follow the visitation with Rev. Dr. John Schluep officiating.

Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
