Joseph Amedeo

Joseph Salvatore Amedeo, 87, passed away September 29. 2021.

Born in San Vito, Italy, Joseph had lived in the Akron/Tallmadge area most of his life.  He served in the U.S. Army.  Joseph was retired from Vito Gironda Construction and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church.  He enjoyed going to the casinos, dancing with his wife, going to flea markets and working on puzzles. He was a collector of Snow White and the seven dwarfs. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and going to his granddaughters art shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Serafina Amedeo; brothers, Vito, Ralph and Frank Amedeo.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Cleta of 63 years; daughters, Kathleen Amedeo of Tallmadge, Mary (John) Haggerty of Florida, Sera (Tim) Gregg of Tallmadge; son, Joe (Katrina) Amedeo of Florida; grandchildren, Anthony (Candice), Vince (Anne), Nick, John, Bryan (Emily), Zack (Selina), Katie ((Danny), Kymber, and Kobe; great grandchildren, Autumn, Josh, Elli, Cayden, Cora, Lena, Ranney, Layla; sister, Mary Conti of Cuyahoga Falls, and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
