Joseph Walter Halleck

Our hearts are heavy with the passing of Joe Halleck on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

Joe was born in Akron, Ohio, to John and Mary Halleck. He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran. Throughout his life, he worked in the auto after‑market industry and later retired from Time Warner Cable. Joe loved his family deeply, enjoyed golf, and was an enthusiastic Ohio State football fan. His happiest place was always Jekyll Island, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, John and Ed.

Joe is survived by his wife and best friend of more than 30 years, Cindy; his sons, Chris (Tiffany) and Patric; his daughter, Angie (Darren); and his grandchildren, Payton and Cameran. He is also survived by his brother, Bill (Mary Margaret); his sister ,Jean Lonteen; his mother‑in‑law, Anna Koenig; his sister‑in‑law, Diana Koenig; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

To honor his life, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity that holds special meaning for you.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
