Joseph S. Hedrick

Joseph S. Hedrick, 99, passed away June 16, 2015.

Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Joe had lived in Tallmadge since 1954.  He Served in the U.S. Navy During World War II.  Joe retired in 1980 from TNT Exterminating with 30 years of service and was a member of First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, where he was head usher, Tallmadge AARP, Tallmadge PrimeTimers, Mogadore Moose Lodge #1082 and Mogadore VFW Post #8487.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie T. and daughter, Barbara Williams.

Jose is survived by his son, Robert Haydu and his fiancée Sandy Backus; two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, 85 Heritage Dr., Tallmadge with Rev. Dr. John Schluep officiating.

Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Congregational Church of Tallmadge preschool in care of the church.
