Joyce Fisher Menesian

Joyce Fisher Menesian, 95, passed away September 7, 2024.

Joyce was born in Akron and was the loving mother of Susan (Mike) Roberts, James (Kathy) Fisher and Mark (Kathleen) Fisher.  She was the grandmother of Eryn (Brandon), Jeffrey (Taylor), Jimmy, Jonathan, Joshua (Jessica), Eric (Belle), Sean (Grace), Bryan and Ellen (Austin) and great grandmother to Ella, Lucas, and Evaline.  She adored her family and we were so blessed by her love and devotion.

Joyce grew up in Goodyear Heights, graduated from Akron East High School and was the organist at Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years.  Joyce was married to Koehler Fisher in 1950 while they attended Ohio Northern. She graduated with a degree in Education and taught in the Akron school district. They celebrated a wonderful life together until Koehler's untimely death in 1963.

Joyce married John Menesian in 1996. They resided in Stow and enjoyed numerous trips and cruises.  John provided a wonderful life for our mother until his passing in 2017.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, 1430 Goodyear Blvd., Akron.

Funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. at the church with Reverend Terry Lucarelli officiating.

Internment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park at 2 p.m.

The family would like to thank the Gables of Green for their excellent care, and also Bob Rasnick for his wonderful devotion to Joyce.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church.
