Julia (Giovannini) Braghieri

Julia C. Braghieri, age 103, passed away July 22, 2016. Julia was born in Santarcangelo, Italy and lived most of her life in the Akron area. She worked as a candy wrapper for Akron Candy Shop for seven years, was a founding member of St. Eugene Cathholic Church, member of the Altar and Rosary Society, loved crocheting, knitting, cooking, and baking.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; a sister, Theresa; and a brother, Louis.

She is survived by daughters, Joanne (Stan) Sipka of Cuyahoga Falls and Diane (Ed) Kempton of Hudson; a sister, Dolores (Frank) Balogh of Cuyahoga Falls; and brothers, Joseph Giovannini of Barberton and Donald Giovannini of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Christine Simmons, Cathleen Spicer, Carol (Patrick) Bender, and Edward M. Kempton; 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Western Reserve for their care of Julia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at St. Eugene Catholic Church with Fr. Neil Crosby officiating. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the DONOVAN FUNERAL HOME, 17 SOUTHWEST AVE. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle)

Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
