Julian M Vanscoy

Julian M. Vanscoy, 92, passed away September 7, 2026. Born in Elkins, West Virginia, he had lived in Tallmadge since 1980, and enjoyed winters in Punta Gorda, Florida for the past 26 years.

Julian served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Supervisor at MacTac after 32 years. He was a talented woodworker and appreciated the beauty of gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Eleanor Vanscoy; brothers, Bill, Ivan and David.

Julian is survived by his wife, Jane; daughter, Julia (John) Weniger of Kent; son, David (Laurie) Vanscoy of The Villages; grandsons, Steven, John, Justin; brother, Ed Vanscoy; many special nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 until 12:30 Friday, September 11, 2026 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Memorial service will follow visitation at the funeral home.
