Julie Ann Light

Julie Ann Light, 59, passed away February 11, 2022.

Julie lived her entire life in the Goodyear Heights area in Akron. She was a 1981 East High School graduate. She was a General Manager for McDonald's for over 40 years. Julie was also an active member of the Hibernian Club. Julie loved her family and friends, the beach, and Cleveland sports (especially the Browns).

She was preceded in death by her father, William Starkey; sister, Michelle, niece, Lauren Porter and father-in-law, Glenn Light.

Julie is survived by her husband, Paul; son, Kyle Light of Akron; mother, Sandra Starkey; sisters, Debbie (Jeff) Porter and Becky (Tony) Sims both of Akron; brothers, Tim (Jeannie) Starkey of Hartville and Todd (Tiffiny) Starkey of Tallmadge; mother-in-law, Dorothy Light; sister-in-law, Julie (Brian) Miller of Dover, Delaware; brother-in-law, Michael (Terri) Light of Munroe Falls, best friends, Alice Rice of Green and Peggy Gaffney of Portage Lakes, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her dog, Bailey.

Special thanks to Dr. Sonia Sandhu and the entire Cleveland Clinic Infusion staff in Stow for all of their hard work and dedication to Julie's life throughout her cancer journey.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday February 19, 2022 at the funeral home with Mike Duma officiating.

Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
