June Ann (Lanigan) Smetts

June Ann Smetts, 62, passed away February 11, 2025. Born in Rochester, Pennsylvania, she lived most of her life in Tallmadge.

June worked at Tallmadge City Schools as a Kitchen Manager (aka: The Lunch Lady).  She enjoyed swimming and pool parties.  Most of all she loved spending time with her granddaughter, Ava June Smetts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne; and brother in law, Richard Smetts.

June is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Tessa (Damian Hammer) Smetts; son, Cory (Kaylynn Enzman) Smetts; granddaughter, Ava June Smetts; sister, Tina Smetts; brother, Wayne Lanigan (Debbie McCallister); mother, Joann Lanigan; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 12: until 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Memorial service will follow visitation at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Case officiating.
