Kay Eileen Sonneborn

Kay E. Sonneborn, 83, passed away July 30, 2026. Born in Akron, she lived most of her life in Tallmadge.

Kay retired from Goodyear in the Billing Dept. after 30 years. She graduated from Tallmadge High School and attended Kent State University. Kay enjoyed gardening, biking and walking. She traveled to most of the National Parks in the US. She also enjoyed traveling the world, going to 48 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti and Fiji. Kay also loved going to the casinos, especially Vegas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertrude Johnson.

Kay is survived by her husband of 56 years, Irving and many friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 until 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will follow visitation at noon at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
