Kenneth Walter Stanley, Sr.

Kenneth Walter Stanley, Sr., 89, passed away January 23, 2018.  He was born and lived his life in Akron.

Kenneth served in the Marine Corp during World War II and was a member of Grace Cathedral Church. He retired as a mechanic from Kent Machine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Eathel Stanley; sister, Shirley C. Jones; brother, Glen Stanley.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Ruth Jane; sons, Kenneth Walter (Jill) Stanley, Jr. of Colorado, Charles William (Joy) Stanley of Munroe Falls; brother, Galen (Gwen) Stanley of Florida; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will follow visitation at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Charles Stanley officiating.

Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.
