Lanny Miller, 78, son of Ruby and Paul Miller, passed away December 27, 2016.

Lanny was a long-time resident of North Hill and played football at North High School from 1954 to 1956 when he graduated. He served in the Army Reserves following high school.  During his career as an electrician he worked for Terex and General Motors and served as president of United Auto Workers Local 296 as well. His love of horses brought him to participate in horse racing in the '70s as a hobby.

Lanny is preceded in death by daughter, Melissa Miller DeMoss; and ex-wife, Janet Bradach Miller; and survived by his grandson, Michael DeMoss; and son-in-law, Dennis DeMoss of Cuyahoga Falls; and sister, Linda Miller Dyer and her husband, Robert Dyer of Colorado.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, December 31, 11 AM to 1 PM at Hennessy Funeral Home, 552  N. Main St. (corner of York and Main), Akron.
