Larry K. Bangtson

Larry K. Bangtson, 78, passed away February 17, 2015.

Born in Willmar, Minnesota, Larry had lived in Tallmadge for most of his life.  He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from IBM with 32 years of service.  Larry was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and the American Legion Post in Kent.  He enjoyed coaching, golfing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Lucy Bangtson and brother, Donald Bangtson.

Larry is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Leslie (Edwin) Huth of Green and Mary Kay (Matthew) Kerscher of Stow; son, Patrick (Kristine) Bangtson of Tallmadge; Peggy (Lynn) Latsch of Escanaba, MI; grandchildren, Kara, Justin, Todd, and Kyle Bangtson, Jackson and Ryan Kerscher; sisters; Rosalie (Donald) Zell of Toledo and Shirley (Gene) Ruehle of Minneapolis, MN.

Visitation will be 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held  11:30 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Victory Church.
