Larry C Fraiya

Larry C. Fraiya, 78, passed away October 16, 2015.

Born in Santa Nicola, Italy, Larry came to America in 1965 to visit his sister.  He fell in love with his wife of 50 years and never returned to Italy to live.  They moved to the Akron Area and lived there for 49 years before moving to South Carolina.  Larry was a member of the Adoniram-Joppa Lodge #517 F&AM, and a member of St. Anthony's Parish. He lived for his family, loved life and never knew any strangers.  Larry always had a kind word to share with those he met.

He was preceded in death by his parent Vincenzo and Angela Fraiya (Corsaro); siblings Domenico, Antonio, Maria, Carmela and Fernando.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Fraiya (Corsaro); daughter Regina (Robert) Fertel (Fraiya); step grandchildren Eric and Jessica Fertel; step great grandchildren Marlee and Leyna Fertel; sisters Victorina and Teresa; sister in law Kay Corsaro and Theresa (Domenic) Cornacchione.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 pm Friday, October 23 at Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle), where Masonic Services will be held at  6 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial  9:30 am, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Anthony's Parish, 83 Moser Place, Akron, with Father Edward Burba officiating.

Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Hilarion Aged Care.
