Laura Jean Richards

Laura Jean Richards, 64, passed away April 10, 2023. Born in Akron, she lived most of her life in Cuyahoga Falls.

Laura was a receptionist at Vantage Aging and was a member of St. Matthew Church.  She enjoyed watching the Indians and spending time with her great nieces and nephews. Laura had a strong will to live and was the definition of a survivor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Norma Richards; brothers, Randy and Bob Richards.

Laura is survived by her sister, Shelley (Steve) Taylor; niece, Jaclyn (Shane) Golden; great nieces and nephews, Nick, Alex, Olivia, McKenna Golden; sister in law, Denise Richards; nephew, Matthew (Amanda) Hill and great nephews, Cassius and Deacon, and nephew, Cory Richards; special friends, Dr. Jenn Levin, Sara Burket and Mary Ann Howiler; and many others who had touched her life.

The family would like to thank her lung donors, which gave her an extra 25 years with us.

Visitation will be 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Memorial service will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Case officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery at a later date.
