Lawrence Arnold Jones

Lawrence Arnold Jones, age 79, went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Pat "Sue" Jones; brother, Carroll (Geri) Jones; sister, Barbara Rush; daughter, Cheri (Randy) Lancaster, grand-daughters, Mandi Watson and Jaci (Ryan) Lancaster; grandsons, Joe Lancaster and Mike (Allison) Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Dylan Watson and Aria Lancaster; as well as many loving nephews and nieces and extended family.

He was a graduate of Tallmadge High School class of 1954.  He was a man of many blessings including a loving family, an exceptional talent for woodworking and creativity, and a gracious giving heart and spirit.  He is now with the Master Carpenter, but in his life he worked as a carpenter/cabinetmaker for Cecil Robbins and retired from Don Gill Construction.  In retirement, he continued to volunteer his talents for many local organizations and churches of which he was a member.  He was a member of the Buckeye Woodworker & Woodturners Club (BWWT) as well as a past member of the NHRA.

Calling hours will be held at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle) on Thursday (TODAY), June 25, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at Chapel of Prayer Baptist Church, 1811 Brittain Rd. Akron, OH 44310 on Friday June 26, 2015 at 1 p.m. with viewing to begin at noon with Pastor Tommie Nicholas officiating.

Interment will be held Tallmadge Cemetery.
