Leslie G. Walsh

Leslie G. Walsh, 61, passed away September 6, 2017.

Born in Akron, Leslie had lived in the Akron area for most of his life.  He was employed as a Job Foreman, Superintendent, and heavy construction equipment operator for N.E. Walsh Construction for over 40 years.  He had been a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, St. Peters of the Fields Church, and St. Patrick's.  Leslie was a member of 4H, showed horses, and a lifetime member of AQHA.  He was known as PaPa Les to our cheer family and loved by so many.

A hero is someone who has given their life to something bigger than oneself.  Les was a true hero to all.

In true Leslie fashion he continued to be a hero by being an organ donor and impacting the lives of 75 to 100 people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman E., Sr. and Frances Walsh and brother, Kevin Walsh.

Leslie is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beth; daughter, EmilyRose (Joshua Boarman) Walsh of Brimfield; son, Andrey Walsh of Akron; brothers, Timothy E. (Donna Cecil) Walsh, Dennis N. Walsh, and Rusty (Lori) Walsh all of Tallmadge, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Fifth Third Bank in care of the EmilyRose Walsh College Fund.
