Lindsey Hindel

December 1, 1983 — March 17, 2026

Tallmadge

Lindsey Hindel, age 42, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Lindsey was born in Akron and spent her life in the Akron-Tallmadge area. From the very beginning, Lindsey faced significant challenges due to a rare condition called a vein of Galen malformation. Though doctors once believed she would only live a few short years, Lindsey proved time and again that she was stronger than anyone expected. She was truly a warrior who never knew how to quit. Through every challenge life placed in front of her, Lindsey met it with resilience, determination, and a fighting spirit that inspired everyone who knew her.

Lindsey was the epitome of positivity. She had a joyful personality who loved spending time with her family. She especially loved cheering on Cleveland sports and never missed an opportunity to watch her hometown teams. Whether it be going on cruises or to Nashville with her parents, watching her brother Cory play baseball, cheering for the Tallmadge Blue Devils, going on “girls” dates with her sister-in-law, Molly, going to “the library” with her grandparents (more commonly known to her family as the casino), or singing in the church choir, Lindsey enjoyed the excitement and every memory made along the way.

More than anything, Lindsey loved her family. She adored being an aunt and had a special bond with her nephews, Declan, Keegan, and Calum. They brought her so much joy, and Lindsey loved being part of their lives.

Lindsey’s life touched many people. Her strength and perseverance were a constant reminder of how powerful the human spirit can be. Despite the many obstacles she faced, Lindsey continued to live with courage and determination, inspiring those around her with her resilience and heart.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbi Hindel, and her brother, Jason Hindel.

Lindsey is survived by her loving father, Jim Hindel; her brother, Cory (Molly) Hindel; her beloved nephews, Declan, Keegan, and Calum; and her grandparents, Gene and Jan Loch. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

Lindsey’s strength, humor, and loving spirit will always be remembered by those who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with her mother and brother.
