Lou Anna Mayhew

Lou Anna O'Brien Mayhew, age 90, of Tallmadge, passed away on August 30, 2021 peacefully at home. She was the youngest of four daughters born on October 18, 1930 to Daniel and Minnie O'Brien in Akron, Ohio. She has been a Tallmadge resident for 62 years.

Lou Anna graduated from Garfield High School and earned an education degree from the University of Akron. She retired from teaching in the Tallmadge City Schools. She was a member of The Tallmadge United Methodist Church and active in church and community events.

Lou Anna is survived by her husband of 68 years, Milton Mayhew; son, Alan (Linda Young) Mayhew; daughters, Paula (Greg) Rogerson, and Linda (Kevin) Hallinan; grandchildren, Shannon and Colleen Hallinan, Lauren, Megan, and Steven Rogerson.

Preceding Lou Anna in death were sisters, Kathryn (Bill) Burket, Betty (Jack) Brown, and Juanita (Jim) White.

Family memorial services will be held at Tallmadge Cemetery.
