Obituary

Madelynn M. Barbieri, 95, passed away peacefully March 16, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born in Akron where she lived all of her life. Madelynn spent her whole life loving and taking care of her extended family. She was a great cook and loved to feed her family (mangia, mangia).

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Vito; parents, Nicholas and Maria Ricchiuto; and brother, Armond. Madelynn is survived by her daughters, Marie McClellan and Rita (Don) Conklin; son, Joe (Rene); brother, Jim (Sally) Ricchiuto; grandchildren, BJ (Mae), Mike (Amy), Kelley (Brian), Jennifer, Kristin (Ryan), Bill (Cassie) and Tiffany; seven adorable great-grandchildren with one on the way; brother-in-law, James (Virginia) Barbieri; special nieces, Lisa Ricchiuto (Mel) and Lynda Moulton; and son-in-law, Rick McClellan.

The family would like to thank The Gardens of Western Reserve Assisted Living for their loving care for Mom during the last two years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Blessed Trinity Church, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 N. Main St. Akron. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her life long parish Blessed Trinity (St. Martha).
