Malcolm P. Damon, 83, passed away April 15, 2015.
Born in Tallmadge, Malcolm had lived in Tallmadge all his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired in 1994 from Roadway Express Company with 30 years of service. Malcolm was a member of Tallmadge United Methodist Church and was a Boy Scout leader for Troop #362 for ten years. He collected beer steins/cans, baseball cards, and coins. After retiring, Malcolm spent the winters in McAllen, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette and daughter, Darlene Marie Damon.
Malcolm is survived by his sons, Mark(Debbie) Damon of Doylestown and Kent (Roberta) Damon of Milton, West Virginia; grandchildren, Michael (Samantha) Damon, Lisa (RJ) Timms, Patrick (Breana) Moore, Adam Brown, Aaron (Kelly) Brown, Dana (Adam) Duale, and Rachel Brown; great grandchildren, Ella Moore, Cullen Damon, and Cerys Duale.
Visitation will be 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday April 19, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Funeral Service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Tina Nees officiating.
Interment will be held at Tallmadge Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Mogadore VFW Post 8487.
