Margaret M. "Peg" Pamer, 88 of Cuyahoga Falls passed away on 6/6/2017 after a brief illness.

Born on July 15, 1928 in Beaver Falls, PA she was the fourth of five children born to the late John E. Gavan, Sr. and Estella (Hammer) Gavan.

She was a 1946 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and obtained her cosmetology license shortly thereafter.  She worked in Ambridge, PA as a beautician for over 15 years, building lasting friendships and a loyal clientele. In 1962 she married John R. Pamer and moved to Cuyahoga Falls, OH. They were married for over 51 years at the time of his passing in 2014. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Cuyahoga Falls.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth and Therese, and an infant brother, George.

Surviving are her brother, John E. "Jack" Gavan Jr. of Beaver Falls, PA; her sister-in-law, Jeannette Pittinger of Silver Lake, OH; brothers-in-law, Larry Pamer of Beaver Falls, PA, Russ (Patty) Pamer and Ralph (Janet) Pamer of Springfield, OH; son, John P. (Julie) Pamer of Concord, CA; daughter, Michele M. (Bradley) Hart of Liberty, OH; grandchildren, Atticus, Bryce, and Allison; and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy loved spending time with family and friends.  Together with her husband, she hosted many memorable events in her home. She loved to talk, laugh, play cards and tell stories from her upbringing.  She was a member of the Altar & Rosary society at St. Joseph's and did a variety of volunteer work for the church over the years.

The family would like to express their gratitude to friends, family members and caregivers that provided loving support during this difficult time.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 pm Thursday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 North Main Street Akron, OH 44310.

Prayers will be offered followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM Friday at St. Joseph's Church, 1761 Second Street, Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Road, Akron OH.
