Margaret (Giles) Tejral

Margaret Tejral, 87, of Tallmadge passed away March 1, 2017 after a long illness.

Margaret leaves behind her husband, Robert "Bob" of 65 years; son David Tejral of Bridgeport, Texas; daughters, Sue (John) Siefer of Kent, Sally (Pierre) Barkley of Tallmadge; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn (Penny) Giles of Canal Fulton; sisters, Linda Mellen of Cuyahoga Falls, Norma Christy of Tallmadge; many nephews, nieces and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth (Joann) Giles of Wadsworth.

Margaret enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the islands. She volunteered over 20 years in the maternity section of St. Thomas Hospital. Margaret delivered meals for Mobile Meals, was a treasurer for the Lady Guild and secretary for the Tallmadge Prime Timers. She was an usher at the Civic Theater and Lock 3, and a money counter at Our Lady of Victory. She produced puppet shows at the Weathervane Theatre. Margaret was a lector at mass for over 20 years. Her greatest joy was reading.  She was a reading tutor for first graders, volunteer reader of news and stories for a radio station which broadcast the information to the blind population. In 2011 the State of Ohio honored couples for being married a long time and did volunteering work. We had a tour of the governor's mansion and lunch with the governor's wife.

Visitation will be 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian burial will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
