Maria Assunta Testa Maria Assunta Testa. 86, born in Carovilli, Italy, loving mother of Linda, Mike, Angie and Sandy; grandmother to Anthony went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2017. She was an example of courage, strength, determination and hard work. She will be greatly missed and her legacy will continue. Maria is also survived by her sisters, Elvira and Filomena in Italy; special sisters-in-law, Pietta and Josephine; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guerino; parents, Guiseppe and Rosaria; sister, Annita; brothers, Carmine and John. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday morning at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 N. Main St. Akron.
