Marian Francis Fullerton

Marian (White) Fullerton, 93, went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 8th. She was born in Akron and was a 1948 graduate of Akron East High School. She loved dancing, and both performed and taught dance professionally for many years. She became a Marine Corps wife, marrying her husband, Cecil, when he returned from the Korean War in 1951 and travelling with him for 14 years to numerous posts, including Camp Pendleton (CA) and Camp LeJeune (NC), until his retirement in 1965. She moved with him to Mogadore in 1966 and remained there for the rest of her life, devoting herself faithfully to being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Marian loved her flowers and spent many hours tending to her flower beds and gardens. She was hospitable, almost to a fault, always putting others before herself and making sure that everyone who visited had plenty of food and beverages … and insisting that they take more. In their retirement years, Marian and Cecil loved spending time and travelling the country with their friend circle, most of whom greeted her when she arrived in Heaven. She also loved caring for her granddaughters a couple days a week as they grew up. She was an active member of the former Arlington Memorial Baptist Church in Ellet for most of her life.

Marian is survived by her husband of 72 years, Cecil (95), her son Craig (Christy) Fullerton; granddaughters, Tori and Destiny Fullerton; "adopted" daughter Carolyn (Butch) Husk and "adopted" grandchildren Elizabeth, Laura, Megan Glazar, Rachel and Patrick Husk; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Donovan Funeral Home in Mogadore, 34 S Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, OH.

Funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with her son, Pastor Craig Fullerton, officiating.

Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the student ministry at the Community Life Church in Mogadore, 106 S Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, OH.
