Marion Testa (nee Kirven), 99, passed away peacefully May 20, 2017. She was born in Bay City, Michigan and lived most of her life in Akron. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish. Marion was a dedicated caregiver to her parents, children, and grandchildren. Her Christmas cookies were legendary, and she was very proud of her Irish heritage. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Louis; daughter, Carol Hendrick; granddaughter, Carey Marie Testa; great-granddaughter, Michelle, and Michelle's infant son Dakota. Left to cherish her memory and a lifetime of kindness and service to others are her children, Diane (Don) Johnson, Denny (Pat) Testa, and Joe (Cindy) Testa; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Trinity Parish, 300 E Tallmadge Ave., Akron, OH 44310. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received one hour prior to Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
