Marjorie M. Cassidy (Marge), 100, of Akron, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, August 26, 2024. Marge was born on March 12, 1924, to Jesse and Viola Murphy. She married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Cassidy. They were married for 62 years prior to his passing on January 7, 2007.

In addition to her beloved husband, Joe, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald, her brothers, Dennis and Jack, and her sister Lois.

Marjorie is survived by son, Lawrence (Pamela) Cassidy, daughter Linda (Michael) Vinciguerra and daughter-in-law Florence Cassidy. Grandchildren: Daniel (Sara) Cassidy, Colleen (Will) Ulrich, Kyle (Kathy) Cassidy, Marlene (Brian) Schmitt, David (Robin) Vinciguerra, Sharon (Shane) Griffiths, Jennifer (Doug) Reynard, and Matt (Kristen) Myers. Great Grandchildren; Alison, Tyler, Keegan, Kellan, Tessa, Maggie, Bella, Adia, Xavier, Remington, Ashton, Stella, Tucker, and Priscilla and special niece Sue Leiby along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Hennessy Funeral Home, 552 N. Main St. Akron, Ohio. Visitation on Monday, Sept 2, 4-7 pm and Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, Sept 3, 10 am at Blessed Trinity Parish, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron. Meet at the funeral home by 9 am for procession.
