Marjorie Faye (Reider) Mortimer

Marjorie Faye Mortimer passed away on December 29, 2021 at the age of 98.

She was born October 2, 1923, in Akron, Ohio.

Marge grew up in Akron and spent her high school years in Houston, TX.  After returning from Texas, Marge went to the Hammel Business College and worked for a number of companies in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls.  She worked for many years for her family's children's furniture company, Reider Manufacturing in Cuyahoga Falls. She met her husband Wes after a blind date and they lived in Cuyahoga Falls, Munroe Falls and Tallmadge, Ohio for over 70 years.  She and her husband loved to travel having visited all 50 states with numerous stops in Europe  She loved to bake, garden, and spent many years square dancing with her husband. Marge was a lifelong member of the First Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Cuyahoga Falls.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wes; parents, Gertrude and Marvin Reider; brother, Robert.

Marge is survived by her son, James (Pauline) of Scottsdale AZ; daughter, Kathleen Michael (Patrick) of Aurora Colorado; granddaughter, Allison of Colorado; grandsons, Joseph (Eloise) of Singapore and Joseph (Charlotte) of Oklahoma City; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The interment will be at Western Reserve Cemetery on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 1pm where she will join her beloved Wes.
