Mark J. Romanish, Sr.

Mark J. "Pops" Romanish, Sr. 81, passed away July15, 2015.

Born in New Dairy, Pennsylvania Mark had lived in Tallmadge since 1967.  He retired in 1995 from Consolidated Freightways with 30 years of service.  Mark was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, the NRA.  He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, and gardening.  Mark loved spending time with his family and never knew a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan and his wife of 25 years, Barbara; granddaughter, Jenet Lowers; sister, Dorothy Helbling; and brother, Joseph Romanish.

Mark is survived by his daughters, Dorothy Bolyard and Susan (Tony Petrillo) Boling; son, Mark (Cindy) Romanish, Jr. all of Tallmadge; step daughters, Barbara (Gene) Lanni of Akron, Debra Lowers, and Janet Lowers of Massillon; step sons, Donald (Helen) Lowers of Vermillion, David (Cindy) Lowers of Texas and James (Tina) Lowers of Akron, 23 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; sister, Kay Carroll of Ligonier, Pennsylvania; brother, George Romanish of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews, and his loving companion, Teddy.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral Service to follow at 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Hillside Memorial Park.
