Martin L Begue

Martin L. Begue, 91, passed away March 4, 2018.

Martin was born in Akron on August 23, 1926 to the late Charles and Ellen Begue.

Martin attended Randolph Public Schools before enlisting in the U.S. Navy.  He was stationed in Okinawa during WWII. He married Margaret Fields, his wife of 68 years, on September 6, 1947. Martin retired in 1988 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 46 years of service.  He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Martin loved golfing, fishing, and bowling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Begue; grandson, Jason Begue; brothers, Kenneth, Roger, Charles, and Donald Begue.

Martin is survived by his sons, Jerry (Betsy) Begue and Dennis (Vicki) Begue; grandchildren, Andrew Begue, Nathan (Victoria) Begue, and Libby (Jeremy) Roth; three great grandchildren; sisters, MaryAnn Bunch, Kate (Dick) Knapp, and Bernice (Paul) Lostoski; brother, Gene (Janet) Begue; sister in law, Roselyn Begue and over fifty nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests at Donovan Funeral Home 17 Southwest Ave, (on the Historic Circle) on Friday March 9, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge, with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Suffield, Ohio immediately following the service.
