Mary J. Cook

Mary J. Cook, 90, passed away November 27, 2015.  She was born in Camden on Gauley, West Virginia, Mary resided most of her life in the Akron and Tallmadge area.

Mary loved the Lord and was confirmed and married at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church in Akron Oh. where she was an active member, with her husband Don for over 40 years. Moving to Tallmadge in 1994 she was a member of Tallmadge Lutheran Church for 21 years. She  retired after 20 years of service  as an Executive Secretary at URW, The University of Akron and Leslie Locke.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Don M. Hysell, D. Fred Cook; and son, Daniel Hysell.

Mary loved being with her family and friends. Mom graduated from Central High School. Her hobbies included playing bridge, cooking, sewing, gardening, shopping, and helping her family and others. She lived with her daughter and family for 30 years and always had Laura by her side and spending time with Lisa who had a servants heart for her grandmother. Her grandson Phil has kept her close in his heart while continuing to serve in the military.

Mary is survived by daughter, Marcia (Philip T.) Cianchetti; grandchildren, Laura E. Cianchetti, Lisa (Joe) Mellott, Phil (Cathe) Cianchetti; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at Tallmadge Lutheran Church, 759 East Ave., Tallmadge with Pastor Andy Alberts and Pastor Douglas Riley officiating.

Interment will be held at Glendale Cemetery.
