Mary K. Jenkins

Mary K. Jenkins, 92, passed away May 21, 2018.

Born in Akron, Mary had lived in the Akron area all her life.  She retired in 1991 from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. with over 20 years of service.  Mary was a member of Blessed Trinity (St. Martha Church), where she was a Lector, helped on funeral meals, and coffee hours.  She was an Avon representative for over 39 years and enjoyed sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Kulawec; sister, Helen Magyar, and son in law, Greg Popa.

Mary leaves behind her husband of 65 years and ten months, Tom "Bud"; daughters, Mary (Ed) Mowrer of St Clairsville and Susan Popa of Tallmadge; son, Tom (Cathy Devine) Jenkins of Akron; grandchildren, Tom (Taylor) Jenkins, Matt Mowrer, Emily Mowrer, Megan (Levi) Hall, Missy (Scott) Newcomer, Gina Waligura, Erin Popa, Rob Popa, Cory (Cora Plazak) Popa; great grandchildren Jacob, Gabriel, Natalie, Jared, Adam, Kara, and Riot; life long best friend, Rose Kulesza.

The family would like to sincerely thank the wonderful staff at Pinnacle for their care of Mary.

Visitation will be 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Blessed Trinity (St. Martha Church) 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron with Father Joe Warner officiating. PROCESSION TO FORM AT THE CHURCH.

Interment will take place at Tallmadge Cemetery.
