Mary Jean (Stresnak) Rogacs

Mary Jean (Stresnak) Rogacs, 75, passed away peacefully August 22, 2018, after a completely unfair battle with cancer.

Mary was a proud 1961 graduate of Akron East High School (Orientals forever!) where she was crowned Homecoming Queen and a recipient of the Womanhood Award. As a mother, Mary was active in PTA, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and the countless other extra curriculars of her kids. She was (and always remained) the "cool" mom.

Mary enjoyed reading, was an avid gardener, had a fondness for birds, adored autumn, and could arrange tchotchkes like no other. She travelled in many circles, befriending all through her bright smile, quick wit, sparkling personality, and boundless compassion. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Mildred Stresnak and husband, James (d.2007).

Mary is survived by daughter, Carla; son, Steven; grandchildren, Trevor (Lihnlee), Tori (Jake), Cassidy, Cayden; grandkitty, Raider; great grandchildren, Loghan, Talon, Roman; former daughter in law, Deanna; aunt, Ruth; sisters in law, Marlene, Beverley; brother in law, Tom, several nieces, nephews, cousins and an utterly ridiculous number of friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Donovan Bagnoli Funeral Home 339 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Case officiating.

Interment will be at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton, Ohio.
