Maxine Twigg

Maxine Twigg went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 5, 2018 after a short illness.  She was born on Jan 11, 1933 in Braxton County, West Virginia the youngest of six children born to Mildred and Arthur Stemple.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband of 64 years, Joseph Twigg.

She is survived by her children, Kathy and Marty Streby of Kent, Beth and Marty Jindra of Copley and Bill and Debi Twigg of Kent; ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Mom loved to socialize with neighbors and friends.  In various ways, she was understanding and compassionate to those who struggled.  She was a good cook and enjoyed making dinner for anyone.  Mom loved pictures of her family and could sit and reminisce for hours.  She loved the beauty of nature and  taught us how to grow vegetables and flowers.  Mom enjoyed going to church and visiting her friends there.  Her family would like to acknowledge the kindness of her special friends at church and the friends and caregivers of Mulberry Gardens Memory Care.

Visitation will be 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and on hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Chapel Hill Church, 1160 Howe Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, Oh 44221 with Pastor Adam Harper officiating.
