Merle J Gerber

Merle J. Gerber, 90, passed away January 22, 2025. Born in Rew, Pennsylvania on February 19, 1934, she had lived in Akron since 1954.

Merle was a self-employed caretaker and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mabel Hilliman; daughter, Debbi Gerber; five brothers and three sisters.

Merle is survived by her son, Mike Gerber; daughters, Laurie Gerber, Janelle Miller, granddaughters, Madyson and Maliya Miller; sister, Erla Truby; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Donovan Funeral Home,17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2025 at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls with Fr. Tom McCann officiating.

Interment will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
