Michael R Hively

Michael R. Hively, 60, passed away March 9, 2017. Born in Akron, he had lived all of his life in the area.

He was a wonderful husband, beloved father, and adoring grandfather. He was also an avid fisherman and a diehard Yankees fan. Michael was a graduate of Field High School, a Wire Technician at American Spring Wire for 29 years and attended Northwest Ave. Church of Christ in Tallmadge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brooks and Patricia Hively.

Michael is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Melissa (Justin Crandall) Hively of Mechanicsville, MD, Kasandra (David) Heidbrider of Ellet, Brandi Bowser of Tallmadge, Kiersten (Donald) Bailey of Tallmadge; son Michael Hively of Cuyahoga Falls (Nikki Alden and her son, Damian); sisters, Evelyn (Philip) Rubenstein of Pennsylvania, Kathy (Vito) Sgotto of North Canton; brothers, Buddy (Carmen) Hively of Louisiana, Donald (Elizabeth) Hively of North Canton, Hugh (Liz) Hively of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Gavin, Braeden, Leila, Luke, Kaylee and Tara.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday,  March 14, 2017 at Donovan Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Baker officiating.

Interment will be at Restland Cemetery.
