Michele "Mike" Centola

Mike (Michele) Centola, 101, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022.  He was born in Akron and lived most of his life in the area.

Mike had a love for Polka music, and he and his wife Agnes enjoyed dancing to Polka music at various locations in the Akron area.  Mike had a curiosity for crafting and electronics and a willingness to continue to learn.  Until his death, he enjoyed crafting, his cell phone and computer.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Agnes; parents, Angelo and Rosa Centola and his brother Ralph.

Mike is survived by his brother, Mario (Santina) Centola; nephew, Mario L Centola; nieces, Rozanne Centola and Andrea Centola; godchild, Marie (Lombardo) Robinson; and cousin Mary Triola.

The family would like to thank the staff at Danbury where Mike lived independently for over 12 years and the compassion of hospice while he was in his final days.  A special thanks to Jim Kaiser for his kindness in providing hours of support to Mike working with him on his computer and electronic devices.

Per his wishes there will be no service or visitation and cremation has taken place.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
