Mildred Rita Heislman (Kubanis), 89, passed away May 25, 2015. Born in Barberton OH, Mildred lived most of her life in the Akron area. She was a graduate of Barberton High School and St Thomas Hospital School of Nursing. She worked many years as a registered nurse at St Thomas & Akron City (Summa) Hospitals.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack Heislman; and her brother, Stephen. She is survived by children, Colette (Tim) Morgan, Greg, Steve, Elaine Blanco, John, and Phil (Paulie); nine grandchildren; sisters, Veronica Dimengo and Irma Keating.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude for the care and concern given to our mother by the staffs of Sunrise Assisted Living and Harbor Light Hospice.

Funeral Mass, 11am Thursday at St Joseph Church, 1761 2nd St, Cuyahoga Falls. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received TODAY from 5 to 9pm at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 North Main St, Akron.
