Milton Paul Mayhew, age 92, of Tallmadge, passed away on April 17, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by his children. He was born in Wadsworth, Ohio September 23, 1930, and lived most of his life in Tallmadge, Ohio.

After graduating from the University of Akron, Milt served as a US Army pilot receiving flight training at Gary AFB in San Marcos, Texas and Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Milt continued his love of aviation through a long career with Goodyear Aviation Products. He was proud to be a member of the Tallmadge community, serving on many community boards, organized events and was a devout member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church.

Milt leaves his son Alan (Linda Young) Mayhew of Fort Worth, TX; daughters Paula (Greg) Rogerson of Copley, OH and Linda (Kevin) Hallinan of Dayton, OH; grandchildren Shannon and Colleen Hallinan, and Lauren, Megan and Steven Rogerson; sister-in-law Marilyn Mayhew.

Milt is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Lou Anna; parents Rev. Clarkson (Gladys) Mayhew; brothers Mart (Teresa) Mayhew, Clark (Quata) Mayhew, George Mayhew; sisters Ruth (Kenneth) Conard, Inabel (Roger) Walvoord.

The memorial service will be held at the Tallmadge United Methodist Church on Friday, April 28 at 11:00 am.

Services in care of Donovan Funeral Home on the Historic Tallmadge Circle, 17 Southwest Ave.
