Molly Walsh, 76, passed away September 5, 2015.
Born in Akron, she had lived in Tallmadge since 1972. She retired from teaching at Tallmadge City Schools in 2009 and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church.
Molly enjoyed playing bridge and her St. Vincent High School Club, Class of 57.
Molly enjoyed teaching 3rd grade. Many of her students still know their presidents and can recall their springtime classroom duck.
Most of all, Molly loved being Mamaw to her grandchildren. Sunday dinner at Mamaw's was the highlight of the family's week.
Her husband, Jerry, the love of her life, whom she married August 5, 1961, died November 9, 1974. Her parents, Hubert and Margaret House, and brothers, William House and John House, also preceded her in death.
Molly is survived by daughters, Peggy (Neil) Durbin, and Mary Ellen (Mark) Gresser both of Stow; sons, Pat (Lisa) Walsh of Springfield, Mike (Jenny) Walsh of Doylestown, Jim (Lori) Walsh of Akron, and Bill (Teresa) Walsh of Tallmadge; 25 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; brothers, Charles House and James House, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a. m. Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Our Lady of Victory, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge.
Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Ohio Right to Life.
